What to do after D.Pharm?
After completing the D.Pharm program, students can either continue their studies or start working immediately in the pharmacy field. The most popular higher studies options are B.Pharm and Pharm.D (Lateral Entry). Both pathways offer strong career growth and better job opportunities.
For those choosing higher studies, admission to B.Pharm (lateral entry into 2nd year) is usually based on merit or entrance exams depending on the state. Students interested in clinical and professional practice may choose Pharm.D, which opens doors to advanced patient-care roles.
After completing D.Pharm, students can work in various areas including community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, drug distribution companies, and primary healthcare centers.
